LEC Business Networks

Leanne Fawcett and LEC work with businesses and organisations in the region to cement partnership working and improve the local economy.

Peterlee & Seaham Business Parks

LEC is one of the founding companies of the Peterlee and Seaham business networks, having been invited by Business Durham to form a steering group of selected business figures tasked with championing the area and the hundreds of successful companies and organisations which call this East Durham home.

Networking is at the heart and soul of our business – you cannot underestimate the importance of forming relationships with your peers and for us, it’s as important as client attraction and retention.

But our involvement in the group goes beyond networking; we are proud to be the communications partner for the group, providing a range of services to maintain the profile of and engagement within the groups. These include media profiling, social media support, website management, event co-ordination, production of East Durham Business magazine and stakeholder engagement.

East Durham Business Magazine

LEC produces the quarterly East Durham Business magazine, which launched in 2018 to replace the Peterlee and Seaham business park newsletters, PBP News and SBP News.

Following the huge success of both publications, and the growth of the business networks in East Durham, LEC felt the time was right to launch a magazine focussed solely on East Durham’s thriving business community, with a little County Durham-wide business and East Durham community news thrown in.

The magazine has been a huge success, featuring interviews with some of the area’s most high profile business figures and organisations, including Heather Mills, Paul Wellstead, Andy Laundon, Brian Archer (Business Durham), NBSL, Kareen Rawson, Durham County Council, Denise Fielding, Andy Buckworth and many more…

Each issue also includes sponsored Q&As and advertising opportunities, which enable businesses in the area to promote their products and services to a vast audience of local and regional influencers and customers.

There are 1,000 copies of the magazine printed, with copies distributed by hand to businesses in the area, while others are posted to organisations and individuals across the North East and beyond.
